The rostrum about international standards of the access to the information of public importance Belgrade - Commissioner for the information of public importance, Rodoljub Sabic , stated yesterday, at the rostrum in Media center about international standards of the access to the information, that they should, by the end of the March, submit to the Serbian Parliament a yearly report of the work, with the recommendations which should contribute to the improvement about the enforcement of the Law of free access to the information.Sabic said that he would again recommend to the Parliament the adoption of the law about the protection of the personal data, about classification of the secret information, change and supplement of the Law about the free access to the information. Sabic states that the Law about protection of the personal data is important, in the context of the visa allowances for the Serbian people and "white" schengen list, and he reminded that it could have been accepted in one-month period if the parliament hadn't been dissolved.
- Damage of the delay of the adoption of these laws is big, and certainly the quality of life and protection of the legislative interest form the private to the public right for information, would have been on the higher level - said `abi. He emphasized that the statistics about the work of the Office of Commissioner for the information of public importance, show the improvement in the view of accomplishing the duty of submitting the reports, requested information and positively solved complaints.
- The fact is that the influence of the institutions is growing, because in almost 65 percent of the cases there was no need for Commissioner to order giving the information that was withheld, that's why the state authorities reacted at the first intervention - said Sabic . He added that one of the requests of Commissioner, that wasn't realized, was related to the trains from Sweden, which were bought without the tender, through some arbitrator, who was working with women clothes and who took the provision. Sabic emphasized that the student, who revealed that affair, was left without the state scholarship, even though he had excellent marks.
