To what account and in what amount the information seeker should pay the funds on behalf of costs of issuing the copy of the document with the requested information
Answer:
The Enactment on the Amount of Compensation of Necessary Costs for Issuing the Copy of Documents Containing Information of Public Interest ("Official Gazette of the RS" no.8/06), prescribes that the funds earned from compensation of necessary costs for issuing copies of documents with information of public interest are considered to be the budget revenue of the Republic, as well as the amount of those necessary costs. Cost Estimate is a constituent part of the Enactment. Rule Book on Conditions and Method of Keeping the Accounts for Payment of Public Revenues and Allocation of Funds from those Accounts ("Official Gazette of the RS" no.20/07 dated 20thFebruary 2007), has prescribed the payment account of the Treasury for this kind of revenue, as follows: 840-742328843-30.
Amount of costs for compilation and delivery of documents with information of public importance, according to the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance ("Official Gazette of the RS" no.s 120/04 and 54/07) shall be determined by the authority which is in that specific case acting following the order of the requestor, in line with the quoted Cost Estimate, depending on the scope of document the copy of which is requested and its format, if it's printed, and for documents in electronic form, depending on the form in which it shall be issued (CD, DVD, audio-video tape...). The authority can decide to free the requestor from payment of necessary costs if their amount does not exceed 50.00 dinars, and especially in case of delivery of shorter documents by e-mail or fax.
