COMMISSIONER
FOR INFORMATION OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE AND PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection participates in the implementation of the project "Support for Strengthening Rule of Law in the Republic of Serbia" in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The goal of this project is to increase the capacity for achieving the goals and obligations arising from Chapter 23 - judiciary, fundamental rights in the process of European Union - Republic of Serbia stabilization and association.

In the said period, the Office of the Commissioner will hold 15 panel discussions and 15 thematic trainings in the field of personal data protection throughout Serbia. The purpose of the panel discussions is to identify difficulties in the application of the right to personal data protection and hence make future proposals for improving the legal framework, while the thematic trainings are primarily intended for personal data protection officers.

The first thematic training for public authorities will be held in Novi Sad on December 21, 2022.

The project "Support for Strengthening Rule of Law in the Republic of Serbia" (EU FOR FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION AND FOR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS) is financed by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), while the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) is in charge for its implementation. You can read more about this project on the German Аgency for International Cooperation (GIZ) website.
