On the second day of the study visit to the Republic of Ireland, Commissioner Milan Marinović, Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković, Assistant Secretary-General in IT Sector Dragana Jovanović, and Advisor to the Commissioner Rada Kovačević, as part of the delegation from the Republic of Serbia, visited the Commissioner for Data Protection of the Republic of Ireland where they were welcomed by Dr. Dan Hogan and Dale Sunderland, Commissioners for Data Protection, David Murphy and Ketel Ryan, Deputy Commissioners with their associates.
In a significant and detailed conversation, the members of the delegation from Serbia were introduced to the organization and functioning of the Irish Commission, how the Commission supervises the largest multinational companies with representative offices in Ireland (META, X, OPEN AI, Apple, Tick Tock...), the Commission's roles concerning the Law on Artificial Intelligence, the mutual relationship between the Commission and the courts, the legal nature of the sanctions imposed for the breach of personal data and other current topics in the field of personal data protection. It was agreed to continue and deepen this newly established cooperation between the Commissioner and the Commission in the future.
