of Activities of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance

and Personal Data Protection in September 2018

  1. Case Statistics

 

            In September 2018, the Commissioner’s Office received a total of 873 cases, including:  

  • 309 cases in connection with freedom of information,
  • 495 cases in connection with personal data protection,
  • 69 cases relating to both spheres of competence and operations of the Commissioner’s Office.

A total of 3.796 pending cases were carried forward from the previous period (3.242 – freedom of information, 515 – data protection, 39 – other cases).

            A total of 822 cases were resolved during this month (328 - freedom of information, 427 – data protection, 67 – harmonisation of the law and regulations)

            There are 3.874 cases pending (3223 – freedom of information, 583 – data protection and 41 - harmonisation of the law and regulations)

            According to the available call records, 1226 contacts with citizens and public authorities were made to provide advice on the exercise of freedom of information and with citizens and personal data controllers for consultations in connection with implementation of the Law on Personal Data Protection and cases handled.
