The meeting ''Protection of Whistleblowers'' shall be organized by the Council of Europe 29-30 May, in Strasbourg, with the aim to promote the protection of whistleblowers and work on the Council of Europe Recommendation on the protection of whistleblowers in Member States. The meeting shall gather representatives of key stakeholders in the field of protection of whistleblowers.

Nevena Ruzic, Assistant Secretary General of the Commissioner's Office, shall participate at the meeting as the Commissioner's representative and the member of the Bureau of the Advisory Committee of the Council of Europe Convention 108. She will speak about the international conference ''Protection of Whistleblowers'' organized by the Commissioner on 23-24 May 2013, in Belgrade and about the work on the improvement of the Recommendation on Processing of Personal Data Used for Employment Purposes.

All participation costs shall be borne by the Council of Europe.
