Today in Belgrade, it was held the last one of seminars organized by the Commissioner for information of public importance and the Centre for media professionalism, as a part of the project “Law of free access to information of public importance - what should every journalist know”. In Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš, we have organized six of these seminars.
The training program has included several dozen journalists from more than thirty redactions of printing and electronic media. Therefore, the Commissioner Rodoljub Sabic has declared: Journalists and media can and should contribute to the implementation of the Law of free access to information of public importance. It is clear, to reach that objective, they need a appropriate level of knowledge. That's the reason why I am particularly satisfied with the relatively important number of seminar participants, organized in cooperation with the Centre for media professionalism. It would be very useful to organize similar programs in the future. That's the reason why the Service of the Commissioner for information, according to his real possibilities, will try in the future to realize similar projects in collaboration with the Centre for media professionalism and other professional journalist organizations”.
