The Commissioner for information of public importance and CESID, on a tribune in Loznica, dedicated to the education of employees in administrations, have continued today the realization of common project “ask freely - with the law to the truth”. The aim of the project, which first phase was held last year, is to educate, animate and influence citizens, civil sector and media in order to participate actively in interest realization processes that are protected by the Law of free access to information of public importance.
The particular aim is the employee training for implementation of the new law in local administrations. The second phase of the project is oriented to the training of employees in local administrations, which includes beside Loznica, also tribunes in Zajecar, Zrenjanin, Nia and Belgrade. Speaking to the tribune audience in Loznica, the Commissioner Rodoljub Sabic has declared: “Generally we cannot be satisfied with the knowledge level of employees in local administrations for implementation of the Law of free access to information of public importance. This level is low and it represents one of the main obstacles for a better implementation of the Law. Unfortunately, it is certain now that the analysis of realization of annual obligations of authorities, I think of Informator bulletins and operational reports, will confirm, in a dramatically way, that many authorities do not have a clear idea of obligations related to the new Law. I reminded that the Law makes provision for employees training as an obligation of state authorities. Until now, in most cases, it was not that way. It is necessary and important that these circumstances change soon”.
