Today, with a workshop in Novi Sad, it was started the realization of a training programme for employees in local administration for the application of the Law of free access to information of public importance. It is a common action of the Commissioner for information and the OECD Mission in Serbia & Montenegro. In this occasion, the Commissioner Rodoljub Sabic has declared: „In general, we cannot be satisfied with the authorities' level of readiness for application of the Law of free access to information.

Beside, it is clear that the authorities do not relate properly to the law obligation to train the employees. That is the reason why the education of employees is one of most important duties for the Commissioner and his service. The program, that has just started, shall be finished by the end of the year. It includes organization of seminars in five regional or county centers with employees from almost forty communities which gravitate to those centers. The centers are Novi Sad, Niš, Kragujevac, Kruševac and Kraljevo. Actually, I am negotiating with the OECD Mission about their possibility to help organizing similar seminars at the beginning of next year. I hope that those negotiation will have a positive effect”
