and Personal Data Protection in August 2021
I. Case Statistics
In August 2021, the Commissioner’s Office received a total of 896 cases, including:
- 389 cases in connection with access to information,
- 423 cases in connection with personal data protection,
- 84 cases relating to both areas of work and actions of the Commissioner’s Office.
A total of 1226 cases were resolved during this month (393 - access to information, 749 – data protection, 84 – harmonisation and cooperation in both areas of Commissioner's actions).
There are 3.293 cases pending (2.734 - access to information, 503 – data protection, 56 – harmonisation and cooperation in both areas of Commissioner's actions).
According to the available call records, a total of 2.465 contacts with citizens and public authorities were made to provide advice on the exercise of the right to free access to information and with citizens and personal data controllers for consultations in connection with implementation of the Law on Personal Data Protection and cases handled.
