of Activities of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance
and Personal Data Protection in May 2022
I. Case Statistics
In May 2022, the Commissioner’s Office received a total of 610 cases, including:
- 371 cases in connection with access to information,
- 133 cases in connection with personal data protection,
- 106 cases relating to both areas of work and actions of the Commissioner’s Office.
A total of 620 cases were resolved during this month (367 - access to information, 155 – data protection, 98 – harmonisation and cooperation in both areas of Commissioner's actions).
There are 2878 cases pending (2467 - access to information, 352 – data protection, 59 – harmonisation and cooperation in both areas of Commissioner's actions).
According to the available call records, a total of 3453 contacts with citizens and public authorities were made to provide advice on the exercise of the right to free access to information and with citizens and personal data controllers for consultations in connection with implementation of the Law on Personal Data Protection and cases handled.
