of Activities of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance
and Personal Data Protection in December 2023
I. Case Statistics
In December 2023, the Commissioner’s Office received a total of 3168 cases, including:
- 2167 cases in connection with access to information,
- 867 cases in connection with personal data protection,
- 120 cases relating to both areas of work and actions of the Commissioner’s Office,
- 14 cases relating to misdemeanor proceedings.
A total of 3743 cases were resolved during this month (3290 - access to information, 235 – data protection, 147 – harmonisation and cooperation in both areas of Commissioner's actions, 71 - misdemeanor proceedings).
According to the available call records, a total of 2376 contacts with citizens and public authorities were made to provide advice on the exercise of the right to free access to information and with citizens and personal data controllers for consultations in connection with implementation of the Law on Personal Data Protection and cases handled.
