The best way to trust some Institution is to offer some information nobody asked for. In Serbia the problem is exactly the lack of information, which is shown by the fact that we have no idea what is going on with 8 percent of BDP, because of 12.000 participants in public consumption just 2.000 of them submit their yearly reports, stated yesterday at the Chamber of the Economy in Serbia (PKS), Commissioner to the information of the public importance of the Government of Serbia, Rodoljub Sabic. At the presentation of the Informer of working of the Chamber of the Economy in Serbia, which was made according to the law about the free access to the information of the public importance, `abi evaluated this document as "relevant contribution to the implementation of European standards in the field of information". I hope that others will fallow the example of Chamber, because the main problems we are facing is high degree of corruption and huge doubts and distrust in the state institutions, emphasised Sabic. And added that from 4.000 of subjects, in other words, complaints to the inaccessible to the information of the public importance directed to the address of Commissioner, 700 remained unsolved. In two thirds of cases giving the request wasn't needed, because the withhold information were delivered at first, meaning that with more good will the situation could be much better, considers Sabic. In about 100 cases besides the request of Commissioner public didn't get the answer, and most accessible are information about the public resources, privatization, tenders, budget givings and others, that's the best way to show everything that happened about the concession of the motor- way Horgoa-Poyega, said Sabic. Added that any time when public is wandering, and doesn't get the answers the doubts between the civilians is growing. President PKS, Miloa Bugarin said that informer PKS which is accessible to public from yesterday in Serbian and English, is the project of four months work, that the initiation came after the claim to Commissioner.Chamber wants everything that was done under its roof to be accessible to public, because in its field it has also the public authorization, so in 29 points of informer there are complete information about functioning of PKS. Bugarin emphasized that the information, which can be found on the portal of Chamber (www. pks. co.yu) would be made in two months, and that they will be propose to the regional chambers to prepare similar informers in short version. He announced that in PKS seminars about the treatment according to the requests for the access to the information of public importance would be organized.
