Reporters of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Charles Gorens and Adreas Gross have evaluated positively the performance on the job of Commissioner for access to information of public significance, was said yesterday from the office of the Commissioner Rodoljub Sabic. In the meeting of Sabica and reporters of the Monitoring committee judged "as very important" changes in the area of advancement of free access to information in Serbia and contribution given by the Commissioner and his service. The meeting has confirmed, it is being said, that, in the process of adopting European standards, including a free access to information, and we can count on support of the Council of Europe. Primary topic of the conversation was questions on adjusting legal sistem in Serbia with that of Europe, and in accordance with standards affirmed within the European Union and the Council of Europe. Special interest was demonstrated in practical results accomplished in the field of human rights and freedom, and in the fight against corruption. It was stressed in the conversation, that it is of equal importance, both the introduction of the new laws, as well as creating conditions for their application in the real life.
